Skylight App Policy and Fair Use Guidelines

1. Introduction


Welcome to Skylight! Our app is designed to connect farmers, buyers, service providers, and agribusinesses in a dynamic ecosystem that facilitates trade, networking, and knowledge sharing. To ensure a safe, respectful, and lawful environment, we have established these Policies and Fair Use Guidelines that all users must follow when using Skylight.

By accessing or using Skylight, you agree to comply with these terms. Violation of these policies may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.

 

2. User Eligibility & Account Security


2.1 Eligibility

To use Skylight, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

• Not be banned or restricted from using similar online platforms.

  • Using the app for networking, knowledge sharing, and business growth.
  • Respecting intellectual property rights, privacy, and community guidelines.

 

 

3.2 Prohibited Activities

Users may not engage in:

A. Misuse & Fraudulent Activities

  • Creating fake accounts or impersonating individuals or businesses.
  • Posting misleading products, services, or project listings.
  • Engaging in fraudulent transactions or unauthorized payment activities.

B. Harmful, Offensive & Illegal Content

  • Hate speech, harassment, discrimination, or offensive language based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, or any other protected category.
  • Pornographic, sexually explicit, violent, or illegal content.
  • Promoting scams, pyramid schemes, or deceptive practices.

C. Unlawful & Unauthorized Activities

  • Selling or promoting illegal goods, weapons, drugs, counterfeit products, or anything prohibited by law.
  • Violating intellectual property rights (e.g., using copyrighted images without permission).
  • Engaging in spamming, phishing, or hacking attempts.

D. Abuse of Communication Features

  • Sending unsolicited promotional messages (spam).
  • Using chats, groups, or comments to spread hate, misinformation, or threats.

4. Buying & Selling Guidelines


 4.1 Listings & Transactions

  • All products and services must be accurately described, including price, quality, and availability.
  • Sellers must honor agreements made through the platform.
  • Buyers must verify goods and services before making payments.

4.2 Payment Transactions

  • Skylight supports [list payment methods like Stripe, PayPal, Mobile Money, etc.] for secure transactions.
